New Musclemania Superbody Physique Champion Nick Morrellhas added 8 lbs. of muscle since winning the '12 Model Superbody in Atlantic City. The 5'7", 175 lbs.. 24 year old college student says, "This year was phtysique. Next year could be a different story depending on the progress I make with my legs.. But, I am definitely heading into becoming a bodybuilder." Nick hails from Philidephia along with MM Pros Joe PattonJulian Navarro and Frank Griffin. There's something in that Phily water!
Most of Guatemala's top natural bodybuilders and sports models will be on stage next weekend at MM Central America. Among the most popular are (L-R) Juan Pablo LarraƱagaJuancho JanElias Rojas, and Javier Carballo Mazariegos. Other competitors are coming from Honduras, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Nicuagua and Belize.
Egyptian sports model Moe Hadary isn't letting the chaos there to stop his training for next year's MM Arabia in Dubai. The 6', 195 lbs., financial advisor has never competed, so the show will be his debut to the fitness media and fans. Then, Moe will appear on stage in America at MM Universe in Miami. "I've been training since I was 13 and always liked the Herculean look," Moe explains.
The first Musclemania® Physique show was produced at the Superbody Show in Atlantic City last Saturday. The winner was Nick Morrell (2nd L) who also won the '12 Model Superbody Championships. But, now he 5'8", 175 lbs. college student added solid muscle mass and was ready for showtime. John Dang (2nd R)from Louisiana ran a very tight 2nd Place with a lean and symmetry upper body.
New MM Superbody Pro Champion Dewayne Malone (L) and Open Winner Frank Griffin (R) stormed the stage last night in Atlantic City. Dewayne battled a close complete with Musclemania Pro-Law Payne who ripped. And, at 6'3", 230 lbs., Frank took on tough competition and rightfully earned MM Pro status. Australian sports model Denham Raveendrakumar is heading for Model America in Las Vegas. The 5'10", 180 lbs., 29 year old engineer has won nearly all sports model shows "down under" and appears regularly in magazine features, advertising campaigns and loads of runway appearances. Denham says he's been on a heavy lifting regimen and wants to compete 10 lbs. heavier than his last stage appearance. "I want a new look for Las Vegas," he says. "I am bringing up my legs because I know I need a complete look against the best in the world." New MM Mexico Junior Champion Said Gerez may weigh only 160 lbs., but the 5'6", 20 year gym instructor has got muscle density way beyond his youth. Since his big win in May, he has been training more intense than ever with his sights set on MM Universe in Miami next June. "I am working my arms and calves because they need to match the rest of my body," Said says. "I don't want to step on stage again until everything is symmetrical and that's going to take the whole season. I want to win the junior division and know what I have to do."
