Musclemania® Colombia Champion Daniel Roman swept the competition at his first time on a national level stage. Now the 5'7", 182 lbs., 21 year old says he training for MM Universe in Miami / Ft. Lauderdale. "I'm not wasting time. I know the show will be much bigger and better guys, so I am training harder than ever. I am especially working on my weaknesses like calves and hams." Musclemania® Central America Alex Rendon (R) at his biggest ever! The 5'10", 205 lbs., 23 year old lifetime natural says he's growing at a slow but quality pace. "I have steadily gaining about 1 lbs. of muscle a month and keeping my physique lean," Alex says. "I am eating clean for 13 days and allowing myself a cheat meal once every two weeks. It seems to be working for me. I am maintain some cardio, too." Alex has about 6 months to keep growing until he competes at MM Latino in Mexico City and MM America in Las Vegas.
Just in the US for 3 months, Brian Andraos says he's transforming his physique for Musclemania® Universe Physique in June. "I am training hard, eating more and lots of cardio to grow while getting into shape," Brian says. The 5'11", 215 lbs., 28 year old has never competed. "I want to walk on the Miami stage and make sure know Brian's arrived! It will be a show."
Natural bodybuilder Jose Marmolejos was just back from training this morning when sending this update. At 5'10", 185 lbs., he says, "I love working out at 4:30 in the morning. I can focus and concentrate on my workout more in an empty gym as I prepare for my Musclemania® debut." Jose will be on stage at MM New Mexico next month in Alburquerque.
"Lazer Mazher" Hamlaani is ripped year round! The 5'8", 175 lbs., Musclemania India Physique Champion was spotted as being one of the best new talent in the show last season. "I've been lifting for years," Maher says. "But, I never wanted to compete in those drug shows. So, when MM India was announced, I signed up and started training for the show." Mazher is an event logistic manager and trains in Mumbai. Currently, he is training for MM Universe in June.
At 5'9", 224 lbs., Musclemania® Pro Ben Radic is a lot tighter than last month. The Slovenia fitness center owner says, "I'm doing cardio 6 times per week in the morning and weights in the evening. I'm eating 6 basic meals per day and getting lean and losing fat fast! Next week, I'll be at FIBO Germany and MM Universe in June."
As a NCAA Division II Basketball All-American, Dwayne Michael knows about athletic training and the discipline that goes along with it. Now the 6'3". 205 lbs., 28 year old is making forays into sports modeling and getting a lot of attention. And, now Dewayne is training with super intensity preparing for his competition debut at Musclemania® Physique & Model Lone Star next month in Texas. "I am doing everything in my power to make it in the business and mixing training, sports modeling, media and competitions is all part of it," he explains.
At 6', 235 lbs. Musclemania® Pro Logan Michaels says, "I am off season now, so I'm eating everything." The veteran bodybuilder is a big believer in the basics. "I usually stick to high protein and low carb intake at 7 meals a day. I train heavy and basic with compound movements and incorporate functional exercises as well. I'm at it no less than 5 days a week in the off season and 6 days at contest time." Logan always brings to the stage a athletic looking physique appealing to mainstream bodybuilders.

At just 17 years old, Moroccan natural bodybuilder Abdellah Tayeb has developed an impressive physique. He's training for Musclemania® Middle East and at 5'9", 155 lbs., wants to compete in the Teenage Division. "I started training 3 years ago," Abdellah says. "I don't use any steroids and the supplements are too expensive. I just can't afford them. So, I eat as much solid food as possible." Abdellah says he goal for this season is simple. "I want to go to Cairo and get my trophy from Ulisses."
Looking at Musclemania® Pro Julian Navarro today, you got to scratch your head and ask why he doesn't plan on competing this season. "Size, its that simple!" he exclaims. The 5'7", 190 lbs., 24 year old is still super lean but confesses, MM Pro ranks is tough. "I need to be bigger if I am going to beat those guys." Julian placed 3rd at '14 MM Universe Pro Short Class and 10th at '14 MM World Pro Short Class. He says, "I don't want that happening again. I like winning!"
Greek natural bodybuilder Kwnstantinos Badidos has only competed once, but he's training now for MM Europe in Berlin in November. The 5'9", 200 lbs., 24 year old building engineer says he's been training for 10 years. "I keep a tight split routine, twice a day, 3 times a week," Kwnstantinos explains. "I like a lot of rest between workouts and feel it helps my muscle recuperate better."
Musclemania® Pro Henry Adell says, "I'm 3 months out from MM Universe! In the leaning out process, macronutrient manipulation is key. My workouts are already intense so they don't have to change much but forcing my body to use stored energy is important during this phase of body recomp. During the beginning of prep, adding cardio isn't yet a necessity but as my body adapts to the new macronutrient ratio by shedding fat and using it for energy, low intensity cardio will become essential for continued fat loss. Constantly checking body fat is important here because any sign of muscle loss should initiate a change in the ratio for the diet. Lose fat, not weight!"

Musclemania® Australia Teenage Champion Adika Njemanze (c) was a lucky one to be at the Muscle Camp in Sydney last night hosted by Simeon Panda (l) and Ulisses (r). Adika says, "What an amazing experience! I see them on Facebook and YouTube and then all of a sudden right in front of me - there they were. The two are humbled, well disciplined athletes. I hope to one day reach the heights that they have and share it with others as they have."

Serbian natural bodybuilder Aleksandar Vukicevic has been training for 10 years. The 6', 202 lbs., 24 year old physical education school teacher competed at '14 Musclemania® Balkan and wants to take on the world's best naturals at MM in Las Vegas. "SInce the show last year, I have trained for symmetry and condition," Alek says. "I have improved my physique a lot, especially overall mass. I think I can handle an international show and show a really aesthetic physique." If Alek can get his US visa, he'll be in Las Vegas in November. In the meantime, he'll be on stage at MM Rome in May.
Mexican bodybuilder Rob Franzoni continues his natural journey. The 5'8", 180 lbs., 21 year old video producer is training for Musclemania® Mexico in May. "I had learned a lot and am focusing on training for symmetry and conditioning," Rob says. "Every time I compete, I learn more about my body and what makes it work - off season, contest prep and show time. My physique is in a constant evolution."
Musclemania® Pro Chang Geun Kim is one of Korea's most popular natural bodybuilders. Over the past 5 years, this impressive 5'9", 207 lbs., Seoul trainer has risen among the MM ranks. "I started training because everyone encouraged me to get into bodybuilding," Chang says. "But, I was hooked from the start and have kept a serious training and nutrition plan since the beginning. I am lucky to have small bones and joints but with mesomorphic type muscle. I grow fast but I keep the diet super tight and don't gain much fat. I got to watch my water, but I shed that quickly." Chang was a Top 5 Finalist at MM World Pro in Las Vegas and is training for a win at MM Universe in Miami / Ft. Lauderdale.
Musclemania® Colombia Physique Julian Tanaka looking lean and ready as if he had another show tomorrow! The 5'8", 190 lbs., 27 year old businessman says he maintains his condition all season. "I just never cheat a meal," Julian states. "I always eaty clean and cheat maybe one meal a week just to satisfy my urges. I got a little out of shape after the show last month, but it was a bunch of water and disappeared pretty quick." Julian's next show will be MM Rome in May.
As an US Army Infantry Combat veteran, Jose Marmolejos served many missions in Kosovo. Now, the 5'9", 170 lbs., 30 year old environmental engineer is training to battle at Musclemania® New Mexico in Albuquerque in May. "I've competed in other shows," Jose says. "But this will be my first natural show and I looking forward to competing with my equals." Currently residing in El Paso, Jose was raised in Boston.
At 5'10", 191 lbs., 19 year old bodybuilder Clyde Mataj after his workout this morning. "The chest workout was epic! Unless I'm about to puke, pull a muscle or pass out, I'm not gonna stop. I have no limits. I dream big, I work hard." Clyde has been training for barely 3 years. The Michigan resident and lifetime natural bodybuilder trains twice a day and is training for Musclemania® Superbody™ in September. "It will be my first show and contest diet, so I have already started to see what's working," Clyde says.

Musclemania® India Physique Finalist Farzan Wasti is in superb form as he trains for the MM India Tour this season. He says, “There are things we do in life that keep us sharp, on the edge, where some simply need to be. This is what it is for me. I call it the cloak of invincibility!” Farzan has been training for nearly 7 years but did not decide to compete until last season when MM India was introduced. “Finally, a natural show in India,” Farzan shouts.
Musclemania® Pro Larry Camacho took a hiatus over that past season and has graduated as a California Corrections Officer. Now, the California star is in the gym and training again. Larry says, “I’m back! New job, new home, new Camacho! Is obvious I lost some size and weight – down to 174 lbs., but I’m back in the trenches one more time!” Larry has incredible shape, symmetry thickness and with top condition will be a favorite on stage, again, soon.
Long Island, New Yorker Steve Laureus continues training for his contest debut at Musclemania® New England at Foxwoods Resort Casino on May 2. The 5’10”, 205 lbs., massage therapist says he’s been training for over 10 years but never considered competing until last year. “I went to Las Vegas for MM and wanted to see Ulisses and the top guys,” Steve says. “I want to win and be a MM Pro this season. That’s why I waited so long to compete.”
Musclemania® America Champion Aristide Pessinguia is training for his MM Pro debut at the Universe in June. “I am just training for size because getting lean is easy for me,” he claims. The 5’10”, 225 lbs., Aristide is not to be overlooked as he always seems to come into shows as a sleeper and underdog and cleans up. He won both MM New Mexico and MM America both as an unknown.
Musclemania® Physique Pro Seung Gon Baek is one of Korea’s premier natural athletes. The 6’2″, 205 lbs., 32 year old athlete has a classic, athletic shape and is a popular choice for Korean television show programs and magazines as well as extensive modelling publication, runway shows and is a respected fitness columnist. Seung is an entrepreneur and owner of a major Seoul wellness and fitness center with over 1,000 members. Competitively, Seung says he’s aiming for MM America in Las Vegas in November.
Adnan Ali continues to grow and maintaining his shape. The 6′, 220 lbs., 24 year old Pakistani is training for Musclemania® Asia in Singapore in September. “I work full time and take care of my family,” Adnan says. “Since we moved to Islamabad a few years ago, its been tough, but I am making it work for everyone. I train before and after work and recently got a supplement sponsor, so everything’s fitting together.”
At 5’7″, 182 lbs., Ruben Caballero is a new junior bodybuilder who’s been training for 6 years. The 21 year old Colombian is lifetime natural and will make his Musclemania® debut this season. “I train normally six days a week in which 3 of those days are twice a day in order to hit hard and constantly all my muscle groups,” Ruben explains. “My nutrition is basically carb cycle (2 days moderate, 1 day high) in which I carb load the days I train my weak body parts.” Ruben says he was watched last month’s MM Colombia in Medellin and was most impressed with MM Physique Julian Tanaka. “I got some issues I’m working on, then I think I will be ready for the stage.”
’14 Musclemania® New Mexico LW Champion Roger Medina was new to the stage and the shocker of the show. The 5’7″, 165 lbs., Albuquerque resident says, “Looking back to my first bodybuilding show makes me feel like I didn’t give enough. People were like, “Dude, you did amazing for your first show,” and I was thinking in my mind I don’t really care what people say. What is important to me is to be the best I can be and get that first place.”

Musclemania® India star Vivek Rock says he’s been hitting the gym every day since the show in December. “It was my first time competing and was such a charge!,” he attests. The 5’8″, 175 lbs., 23 year old training continues, “I never wanted to compete because of the drugs in bodybuilding, so it was so exciting when I learn that MM was coming to India. I went the Ulisses and Simeon seminar in Bangalore in May and learned so much.” Vivek is training for MM India this season and says he will bring a whole new physique to the stage.

Lifetime natural bodybuilder Kwame Adom has won every natural show in New England, but now the 5’8″, 185 lbs. is bumping up his game and training for Musclemania® New England. He says, “Measurements are out of the window at this stage, mirror guide only. I have to win the overall to make MM Pro, so I care less about my weight on stage, just how I’m put together.” Kwame will be on stage with nearly 200 other natural athletes at Foxwoods Resort Casino on May 2.
Musclemania® World Pro Champion Samuel Dixon radiated on stage in his best condition ever. It took the 6’1″, 220 lbs., Canadian star 4 times to win the show but as he explains, it was all worth it. “I struggled, sacrificed and trained like an animal for years to get to this level. To be the #1 natural bodybuilder in the world is a pinnacle in my life!”

Former MMA fighter Mehdi Daoud says he’s a;ways looked like a bodybuilder but really enjoyed fighting. But, the 6’3″, 259 lbs., 27 year old Parisian competed at the ’14 Musclemania® Paris after being encouraged his girlfiend. “She kept telling me to diet down because she was training for the Ms. Bikini Paris show and wanted me to support her,” Mehdi explains. “Well, that support into a lot of fun and a real passion for me, too. I love the hard core training discipline it takes to get into shape and keep it, that’s the hard part. I’ve been in the gym everyday since the show and want to get back on stage with more size, better symmetry and even tighter than last year’s show.”
New Musclemania® Colombia Champion Julian Tanaka still in ripped condition 12 days after his show. “I never get out of shape,” he claims. “Eating clean, keep my cardio and conditioning is just part of what I do everyday. But, I am still growing. I gained almost 10 lbs. last year, so why change a winning formula?” Julian announced this week that his next show will be MM Rome in May.

He explains, “As I’m always traveling, so it’s hard to keep a consistent flow but I have to stay dedicated and focus no matter how difficult my schedule is. This is why I love bodybuilding, you have to be discipline / committed 100%. You cannot hide or blame anyone but yourself. The commitment must come from within. At the end of the day, you have to look at yourself and say “Did I give it a 100%?” If the answer is no then you have to dig deep and work harder. Stay focus and dedicated to your goal. In this arena, you only get what you put in.”
At 5’10”, 218 lbs., Musclemania® Pro Kevin Darrell is looking jacked! The Atlanta, Georgia personal trainer says he’s gained 15 lbs. since his MM debut last June. Kevin explains, “My current diet consists of about 4,500 calories and eating 8 times a day. I’m consuming 50% protein, 40% carbs, 10% fats and 1.5 gallons of alkaline water daily.” Kevin says he’ll be ready for MM Universe in Miami / Ft. Lauderdale soon.
Musclemania® Physique star Rob Nitter got married, has a beautiful new daughter and all the while transformed his physique since last season! The 5’8″, 210 lbs., US Air Force TSgt. says, “Thought I’d send a “Motivational Pump” your way. Don’t give up peeps.” Rob will bring his new physique to the MM Lone Star stage in May.
Musclemania® Asia Physique Tall Champion Terrence Teo says he’s added 10 lbs. of muscle since the show. The 6′, 215 lbs., Malaysian commercial and sports model and trainer is training for MM Universe in June which will be his first show in the US. “I’ve been training for over 10 years and my dream has always been to compete in America,” Terrence says. “I want to have a physique which will make the trip worthwhile and bring home national honor.”
With a classic, statuesque physique, Musclemania® Pro Simeon Panda says, “Bodybuilding has made a significant transition, it used to be everyone longed to achieve the physiques of the Olympians, now many want a much slimmer more ‘conventionally’ aesthetic look, I’m just here trying to turn Super Saiyan.”
French natural bodybuilder Loic Zine says making progress hasn’t been easy. But the 5’11”, 205 lbs., Nice bodybuilder is so focused on creating a top level physique for his Musclemania® Paris debut in October. “I’ve been eating 6-7 meals a day, high protein, low and high carb cycling, about 250g protein and 100g fat,” Loic explains.

Musclemania® Pro Henry Adell looking massive this morning after his workout. “Training shouldn’t feel like work to any serious lifter,” he says. The 6’1″, 235 lbs., lifetime natural and former collegiate football player continues, “I had a difficult weekend and today’s my first workout since Thursday. Instead of letting stress keeping me from doing what I love, I let it clear my head. Train hard, train smart!”
“Its all arms,” says Musclemania® Paris star Bertrand Lim. “I am training them with total priority because they’re my weakness. Twice a week or more if they heal sooner and are ready. But, I know symmetry is kind on stage and this is my only weakness.” Bertrand nearly won both MM Paris and MM World LW Class last year and he’s hellbent on winning the class this season.
Clyde Mataj has only been bodybuilding for 3 years, but the 5’10″, 185 lbs., 19 year old chef has developed a crazy thick physique already. “Working in a restaurant, I get to eat all the time,” he says. “I training in the morning before work, then back again to the gym in the evening. So, I am able to eat all day. A couple of weeks ago, I started cutting carbs and picking up my cardio because I want to compete.” Clyde has never been on stage before, so he will be big surprise in any Musclemania Teenage Division.

Training for Musclemania® Korea, Ryan Lee is fast becoming a popular favorite for the show. The 5’10″, 185 lbs., university student hopes to also compete at MM in Las Vegas this season. Ryan competed in MM 3 years ago but has a completely different physique now. “I am about 20 lbs bigger and keep my condition all year,” Ryan says. “I really want to make a career with bodybuilder and am training more serious than ever.”
Muscle model Brian Andraos has never competed or modeled commercially. However, the 6′, 205 lbs., 24 year old is says he’s being inundated with calls from agents, photographers, producers and promoters. “It’s really crazy,” Brian exclaims. “I just love training and working on my physique. Right now, I am in the gym twice a day, every day of the week. Really, I am so driven to gain some serious muscle and create something different.” Brian continues he’s training for Musclemania® Universe Physique Championships in June which will be his very first time on stage. “Its going to be wild, man!”
Musclemania® World Pro Champion Samuel Dixon says he;s back into shape after taking off a month to travel to Thailand with his newlywed wife. “I am back and training hard, got my diet on track again and will be ready to start shooting soon,” he promises. The 6′, 235 lbs., Canadian is one of the thickest MM natural heavyweights.
Peruvian natural bodybuilder Luis Bellatin says after 2 months of dieting and condition is physique, he’s achieved his goals. At 5’11″, 195 lbs., he explains, “I wanted to get back into shape because I have some advertising and promotions scheduled for my fitness center.” Luis has one of the most popular gyms in the country and appears regularly on national news programs as an expert trainer. He will be competing at Musclemania® Central America in Guatemala.
Musclemania® New Mexico LW Winner Rogelio Medina says he’s been growing since last year’s show. The 5’6″, 165 lbs., construction worker says he wants to bring a new physique to the stage this season. “I an growing and keeping it tight,” he explains. “I don’t skip a meal and bring everything to work with me so I can eat all day. My training is super intense I try to get it in before work so I got the energy I need for a good workout.” Rogelio says he’s out to win MM New Mexico in May and then on to either MM Universe or MM America.

The 5’6″, 185 lbs., 21 year old college student is getting leaner everyday. “I am on my diet but still eating 6-7 times a day,” he says. “I am training twice a day, doing a split routine and resting between workouts. Its all working.”
