Musclemania® Colombia Champion Daniel Roman swept the competition at his first time on a national level stage. Now the 5'7", 182 lbs., 21 year old says he training for MM Universe in Miami / Ft. Lauderdale. "I'm not wasting time. I know the show will be much bigger and better guys, so I am training harder than ever. I am especially working on my weaknesses like calves and hams." Daniel is sponsored by Megaplus Nutrition, a major Colombian brand.

At 5’7″, 182 lbs., Ruben Caballero is a new junior bodybuilder who’s been training for 6 years. The 21 year old Colombian is lifetime natural and will make his Musclemania® debut this season. “I train normally six days a week in which 3 of those days are twice a day in order to hit hard and constantly all my muscle groups,” Ruben explains. “My nutrition is basically carb cycle (2 days moderate, 1 day high) in which I carb load the days I train my weak body parts.” Ruben says he was watched last month’s MM Colombia in Medellin and was most impressed with MM Physique Julian Tanaka. “I got some issues I’m working on, then I think I will be ready for the stage.”

Congratulations Daniel Roman (L) on winning Musclemania® Colombia today in Medellin. Seen here being congratulated by MM Central America Champion Alex Rendon, the 5’7″, 185 lbs., 21 year old won both the Junior & Open Divisions in his first competition. “It feels amazing!,” Daniel says. “My whole family was here with me, so it was special to win with everyone support me. I couldn’t be happier!” Daniel will now move on to MM Universe in Miami / Ft. Lauderdale in June where he’ll take on the best natural juniors in the world.

Musclemania® Central America Champion Alex Rendon says he’s reached 92 kgs. (202 lbs.). At 5’10″, says, “My ultimate, my goal is 100 kgs. (220 lbs.). I am training twice a day, eating 8-10 times, doing cardio. I am on it. Bodybuilding is my passion, my goal. I am driven.” Alex will make a special guest appearance at MM Colombia at Expo Fitness in February. Come visit him at the MM booth.

Colombia teenager Sebastian Hernandez is at the heart of true bodybuilding. At 5’1″, 110 lbs., the 19 year old cross fit instructor makes his own equipment from pipes and fills cans with cement to create his weights in his backyard gym. So, his equipment may be basic at best, but the nutrition regimen is conventional. Sebastian explains, “I get supplements at a local store and follow all the latest products. Right now, I take whey protein, aminos and arginine. I want to add so much muscle and am training every day.” Good luck Sebastian as you take it to the limit!

Jose Enriquez has won a bunch of local shows and the ’13 Mr. Ecuador Novice Championships, but the 23 year old university engineering student says its time for change. “I am tired of competing in the drug shows and want to be among the Musclemania™ natural guys,” Jose says. At 5’6″, 175 lbs., he’s already dieting and wants to hit MM Colombia, Central America and, hopefully, America. “I am working on my symmetry, too, and want to have a total physique for my first MM show. It will be really refreshing to compete in a clean show.”

Colombian natural bodybuilder Alex Rendon hasn’t stepped on a competition stage, yet the 5’8″, 190 lbs., 20 year old is capturing a lot of attention. “I started training a couple of years ago,” Alex says. “I really just wanted to have model look, the abs, chest arms, you know. But, as I started getting bigger, I realized that I had good bodybuilding potential. I am still learning and just begun to do that ‘lean bulk’ that everyone’s talking about now.” Alex trains in a small town gym that he says have everything he needs. “Its not fancy like the city gyms, but it works for me.” He says he’s training for Musclemania™ Colombia in July and hopefully then to MM America in Las Vegas.

Colombia junior Juan David Ibarguen has never competed and says he won't until he is ready to win. "I have been training for 4 years and don't miss a day in the gym." Juan says. "I'm weighing around 92 kgs. now (202 lbs.) and I want to keep growing and getting more cut.
