As a NCAA Division II Basketball All-American, Dwayne Michael knows about athletic training and the discipline that goes along with it. Now the 6'3". 205 lbs., 28 year old is making forays into sports modeling and getting a lot of attention. And, now Dewayne is training with super intensity preparing for his competition debut at Musclemania® Physique & Model Lone Star next month in Texas. "I am doing everything in my power to make it in the business and mixing training, sports modeling, media and competitions is all part of it," he explains.

Muscle model Brian Andraos has never competed or modeled commercially. However, the 6′, 205 lbs., 24 year old is says he’s being inundated with calls from agents, photographers, producers and promoters. “It’s really crazy,” Brian exclaims. “I just love training and working on my physique. Right now, I am in the gym twice a day, every day of the week. Really, I am so driven to gain some serious muscle and create something different.” Brian continues he’s training for Musclemania® Universe Physique Championships in June which will be his very first time on stage. “Its going to be wild, man!”

Hard to believe that this guy has never been on stage. But sports model Brian Androas is already shaking up the media. The 6′, 195 lbs., is already scheduled to shoot for magazines, romance novels and a couple ad campaigns. “I just train hard every day, in fact, twice a day,” Brian says. “I keep a super clean diet and conditioned all year. I can’t see myself ever getting out of shape.” Brian is currently training to make his show debut at Model Universe in Miami in June.
Musclemania® Paris Physique and Model Paris Champion Raqieb Bayadin hammers his back yesterday. At 5’8″, 180 lbs., he says, “I had an amazing back workout! Progress comes to those who DO. So for us, those who are willing to change their body have to train and train. Depending on secret techniques will get you nowhere! But don’t forget your diet and rest. This three factors has to be in balance to have great synergy to reach your goal!”

With just three shows experience, Musclemania® America Physique Champion Perry Hoskin is shaking up the sports model muscle scene. The 5’11″, 185 lbs. barber says its become his new passion. “I have a couple of entrepreneur endeavors which all have taken a back seat to my training. I really want to enter the fitness field. I’ve stopped personal training to work on me for no pay. But it’s my passion for sure. I played amateur and semi pro football for years then left to play arena football in Salt Lake City and cracked my sacrum before the season even started. So I came home to Texas and working out took the place of my football games.”

As the reigning Model Universe Champion, Andre De Assis brings to the forefront a unique mix of commercial model and muscular athlete. The 6’1″, 200 lbs., real estate broker says he maintains a lean physique all year, so for shooting with photographers and advertising campaigns, he needs just a few days notice to drop some water. “When I started competing a few years ago, I leaned how to get into shape and have just keep it that way,” Andre says. “It’s just part of my lifestyle now.” Andre will be a guest host at Musclemania® Florida in Miami on November 1.

Sports model sensation Ben Handsaker is heading to Model Australia next week in the Gold Coast. The 6′, 200 lbs., executive and motivational speaker recently traveling to the US for a media tour including shooting for 4 magazines. Ben says he’s added nearly 15 lbs. of lean muscle since winning the same competition two years ago.
Model Britain Champions Ashley Lewis & Daisy Ward who won the show last weekend in London. At just 17 years old, Daisy surprised everyone with her fresh look and was Top 5 Finalist at Model Universe in Miami in the summer. Ashley is a black belt in karate and level 2-3 personal trainer. The 5’7″, 180 lbs. was all new to the competitive fitness scene. He explains, “I have never been to a competition and i have never tried to cut weight and have always been single digit body fat.” Complete results and photo gallery will be posted soon.

Classic! New Colombian star Alexander Rendon Fitness Model is mastering posing to the extreme. “I practice after every training session, every day,” he explains. At 5’10″, 185 lbs., 20 years old, Alex says, “I feel that you really don’t know your weaknesses until you pose and expose them. I don’t want to hide anything from myself. When I compete, I want to be ready.” And, when Alex says “when” he competes, be mindful he still has never seen a stage!

New Colombia bodybuilder Alexander Rendon Fitness Model keeps growing and says he won’t compete until its complete. “I have been training a long time and really can’t think about competing until I am happy with my whole physique,” he says. At 5’10″, 185 lbs. and just 20 years old, Alex’s got good thickness but wants to balance his symmetry. “I see the photos of all of the guys I would be competing against and won’t stand against them until I know I can win!

The 5’10″, 185 lbs., 24 year old is training for the Musclemania® India in Bangalore in August. “This will be my first competition, so I am anxious to get on stage and show what 5 years of hard work can do to a body,” Junaid says. He will compete in MM Physique Division and present classic shape, thick muscle and a year round lean body.

’13 Model New England Champion Aaron Hairston bolted onto the national scene and nearly won Model Universe two months later. The 5’11″, 210 lbs., 28 year old personal trainer was a former collegiate football player and team captain. Aaron was a Two-Time All American and played for the New England Knights and Connecticut Bearcats in Minor League Football and a 2009 Hall of Fame inductee! Currently, he runs a weekly sports fitness training camps in Connecticut for competitors wanted to perform better and get better results from the training, nutrition and diet regimens.

Egyptian sports model Moe Hadary is training for Musclemania® Arabia in Cairo, Egypt in June. The 6′, 185 lbs., 27 year old financial analyst was a popular choice in a televised sports model show last weekend and says he’s staying on his diet. “It will be my first real stage show,” Moe explains about MM. “And, because it will be first natural one here in Egypt, I am really looking forward to competing against guys who are clean. There just hasn’t been anything like it here before.”

Like Leonardo Da Vinci’s Vitruvian Man sketch, ’10 Model Britain Champion Mehmet Edip displays a static structure but dynamic in its presentation of a moving, living man. The photo by famed fitness cameraman Robert Reiff was shot in his Venice, California, studio and published in Box Magazine this month. The London based Mehmet is currently working the Hollywood media scene and will soon appear in some new advertisements, marketing campaigns and a couple of commercials.

Colombian natural bodybuilder Alex Rendon hasn’t stepped on a competition stage, yet the 5’8″, 190 lbs., 20 year old is capturing a lot of attention. “I started training a couple of years ago,” Alex says. “I really just wanted to have model look, the abs, chest arms, you know. But, as I started getting bigger, I realized that I had good bodybuilding potential. I am still learning and just begun to do that ‘lean bulk’ that everyone’s talking about now.” Alex trains in a small town gym that he says have everything he needs. “Its not fancy like the city gyms, but it works for me.” He says he’s training for Musclemania™ Colombia in July and hopefully then to MM America in Las Vegas.
